Environment is a server-validated integration property. Checkout appearance cannot change financial permissions.

Available sandbox

Use environment: "sandbox" to validate sessions, origin and network restrictions, prefilled fields, illustrative QR codes, states, and webhooks. There is no payable Pix charge or real deposit address. Events carry livemode: false and a sandbox. type prefix.

Live settlement is blocked

You can prepare an integration with environment: "live", but creating its checkout returns 403 LIVE_SETTLEMENT_DISABLED. This is a code-level policy, not a public option or environment toggle.

Activation requires applicable-contract review, explicit authorization for the settlement model, an activated 4P credential, confirmed asset/network entitlements, and end-to-end validation. The operator manages the global 4P credential, and each account has one business with fixed receiving addresses configured in authenticated settings. Neither a saved address nor that credential establishes multi-business commercial approval.
